Deal of the Week

I've been lazy about this whole "Deal Of The Week" thing but because there's so many great things I found today,I thought I'd make up for it.

(All deals apply today and may not still be valid after today)

First is a free rental from the Blockbuster kiosk.
Link follows. http://www.heyitsfree.net/2010/07/29/free-blockbuster-express-rental-code-10/
Its a pretty awesome deal. If you have an account, you can reserve a movie to be picked up. (Thats what I did)

The next one might expire today...
This is a deal for a free backpack from Staples.
http://dealnews.com/Staples-All-backpacks-for-0-after-rebate-most-with-free-shipping-/380535.html?ref=html_dealnewsletter
You do have to pay for it at the store, but you get a mail-in rebate that makes it %100 free. (Messenger bags/laptop bags included)
If you wanna buy it online the same deal applies, but if you spend less than $50 you have to pay for shipping.

This next deal can only be used until tomorrow.
Its for a free mini bottle of hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works. It is a coupon to print out,but you might be able to show it on your phone too.

No purchase necessary, unless you want to buy the key chain for it.

This last deal alot of my friends got excited about when they heard about it.... and its also ending today.
Restaurants.com is offering 80% off gift certificates using the promo code "PLATE" making $25 gift cards to participating restaurants $2. (Alot of the restaurants have a minimum amount to spend, but for $50 (but you really only spent $4) you can take a couple friends out....)

Well thats all for now.

Enjoy!

well....uh...

Well considering its Thursday and I haven't blogged in a while I thought I probably should.

Theres really alot I could talk about but because of the fact this blog is public and I can't say what I would like to I just won't say anything at all.
Wouldn't want to upset anyone with my commentary.

So to be neutral I'll just spat out some lyrics to the songs on my summer playlist....enjoy.

Used to have everything figured out
But it's different now
When you came, you saw
You conquered my heart

There's no one to blame
It'll never be the same
Two wrongs don't make it right
Two hearts are on the line
Maybe we could have made it
Have waited
Done this right
In the end, I'm a friend
But that's all I am to you, oh

I'm waiting for the moonlight
So I can find you
In this perfect dream
Don't think that you can
Hide there in the shadows
You know your not invisible
Your all that I can see
Ohhh Oh yeah

Cause I never really noticed
Took a while for me to see
Playing back the moments
Now I'm starting to believe
That you could be at the show and know everyone
But it's you who makes me sing
And I know where we are and I know who I am
Baby, I'm your biggest fan, oh

oh and heres a video....

"There’s something ’bout love, That breaks your heart .Whoa oh oh oh It sets you free."

I've been wasting spending my time lately reading friends old blog posts (yes, again I know).
Just read a few from 4 or 5 years ago.
Its so funny because some things in a few of the posts at that time,no one had any idea what the person was talking about, yet all this time later it makes complete sense.
Kinda like subliminal messages.
I used to put hidden messages in my blog posts. Haven't done it in a while though...the only person that figured it out/found them was quite possibly my nerdiest friend. I know you're feeling challenged to find them...its not worth your time.

I was going to blog about our band. And it doesn't matter what I say, because they don't read my blog. But I'll be nice and won't say anything until things get worked out. Just be warned if you start a band, things aren't easy. I thought entering into a band with all guys wouldn't be an emotional group of people. To my amazement,I was wrong.

Weird Al concert on Wednesday!
Should be a blast.

I bought these clever little guys last week...

Combining a highlighter and a set of sticky flags, its the greatest idea ever!
I bought a few for some friends but I'm considering going back for even more, considering how cheep they were on sale for.

Tom has a show on Saturday at Austins coffee!
you can find the deets here.
See you there!

p.s. Check out this new site Tom has a page on  http://www.squidoo.com/tom-moore
Theres even some spiffy photos taken by yours truly :)

p.p.s. David Archuleta has a new single out today!!!!!!!

July?

This is somewhat random post, but considering its "Embrace Your Geekness Day", I feel fine.'

Jim Parsons

If you are a fellow "Big Bang Theory" watcher, you know why I feel so compelled to include him in this post.

Jim Parsons is indeed, quite possibly, the funniest, nerdiest and weirdest actor out there. Give the show a chance if you haven't already.Especially if you are a nerd.

This week has flown by so fast so far. Yet there is still so much more left. Friday my hair gets a new look. Pictures of that sure to be posted. Saturday I'm eagerly looking forward to a fish fry bonanza, expecting nothing less than to walk away stuffed to the max.

The countdown is at 6 days for the Weird Al concert and 35 for All Star Weekend!!   Still don't know what I'm going to wear to either of them....

Feeling the urge lately to go somewhere. Colorado would be nice.... I hear its great in the summer. To bad plane tickets seem to have gone drastically up during the summer. Louisville Kentucky seems like a nice place too... 14 hours to dive is quite a long time. Its one of those places is hard to decide if you want to fly or drive. By the time you include getting to and from the airport and the flight and all that extra airport stuff.....is it really worth flying? And heres something to figure out... why does United Airlines want to make a stop in Chicago and Charlotte on the way? 7 hours later...... I never understood the layover thing.

Well thats about all I can think of for now.

Don't forget to click the ads every once in a while.... maybe someday I'll make enough off them Google will send me a check :)

I need connections.

So in 48 days I am going to see All Star Weekend at HOB.
After every show they have a meet and greet, which is super exciting cuz I can't wait to meet them! But of course,I have further ideas.
All the interviews so far in my documentary are great, but what I would reallyyyyy love is to interview the guys of ASW. How realistic is it? Not very.
But that doesn't mean I won't try.
In connection with trying to get a press pass to get my camera in,I thought that might help a bit in the quest for an interview. Little did I know how expensive an official press pass can be,and how confusing it all is.
First of all you have to get a kind of "recommendation" from something like a news paper that you work for or do freelance.
Yea,now where am I gonna get that?
The next option is getting an inside connection from the venue it self, and in this case it being House Of Blues.
If I could at least get my camera in with out a hassle or know even with out a pass of any sort I could be allowed a camera casually. I would be a happy panda.
I'm thinking of calling HOB and seeing what strings I can pull.

If its at all slightly stalkerish,I know I can pull it off. I have a good history with these kinds of things.

If you have any connections or idea, let me know.

:)

Why ChicStar.com is so awesome....

Chic Star has officially become my new favorite site for vintage reproduction clothes.
I love Mod Cloth, but only Chic Star gives you credit for each blog post you write about them.
While browsing the site, I came across this fabulous dress. I do believe it called my name.
Direct link HERE

If even comes in purple and turquoise if you're feeling adventurous! I love the sailor look to a dress,I think its the classiest look in vintage clothes.
Now all I need is some shoes to go with it....but thats another post....
I can't wait to place my order for this dress or even others...

And when this dress is restocked in my size,I am deff. gonna blog as much as I need to for it!
So thank you ChicStar.com,for realizing us bloggers need some reward for our hard work, and being generous enough to do so.
And I'll be placing my order soon!
